Welcome to Pack 279, South Saint Paul Minnesota!

Pack 279 serves St John Vianney of South St. Paul Minnesota. Through our active boys, parents, and leaders we maintain a fun, safe environment that teaches our young men the skills and values they need to become outstanding citizens in our community and nation.

Pack 279 meets at 6:00 PM once a month at St John Vianney Church & School located South St. Paul. There is a map to the church on the 'Links' page of this website. The Dens also meet up to two times a month at locations chosen by the Den and their families.

First Pack Meeting & Join Scouting Night

September 22 6:30 p.m. St John Vianney Cafeteria Pack 279 Scouts and parents of new 1st graders... join us at St John Vianney for our 1st pack meeting and Join Scouting night. Learn about the Tiger Cub program, speak other Cub Scout parents and see the scouts at play.

Why join?

Boys want to have fun, while parents want them to learn positive values and skills that will last a lifetime. If your boy is about to enter first through fifth grade, Cub Scouting may be exactly what you are both looking for.

How do I join?

The Cub Scouts are open to any boy between the ages of 6 - 10 (Grades 1 to 5). For more information please feel free to send us an email or visit one of our monthly Pack meetings. Pack 95 supports Lincoln Center. To see if your school has a pack, visit www.joincubs.org.

Scouting needs parents, too!

Scouting is a volunteer-led program. Parents and the organizations who charter (sponsor) Scouting groups select the leaders who they would like to work with their children. Volunteer to help at one of our many events; you'll be glad you did!
